Staff from AFM took part in two fundraising initiatives to help raise money to fund lifesaving treatment for local teenager, Jonah Gillingham.
18 members of staff took part in a weight loss event during January, and then AFM held a dress down day to help raise vital funds needed to support Jonah who is suffering from a potentially devastating illness known as aHUS, an ultra-rare blood disease affecting first the kidneys and then other organs and requires expensive treatment.
Jonah and his Mum Sonia visited the AFM offices to collect the cheque for £315 from our managing director, Mark Edgar.
Sonia stated that the vital support from local companies such as ours, and the on-going fundraising that is taking place throughout the island is helping to raise the profile of their charity but most importantly, is helping Jonah in his quest to lead a normal life.
