AFM Guernsey has recently upgraded its BAFE accreditation (British Approvals for Fire Equipment) following a recent audit by the SSAIB, one of the leading third party certification bodies. The AFM team retained its Fire Detection & Alarm Systems Maintenance certificate and was awarded with two additional certificates for the Installation and Commissioning of Fire Alarm Systems.
Operations Manager, Martyn Pipet, said, “We are so proud of Paul Le Tissier, our fire & security technical manager and the wider Fire & Security team achieving this certification. They work hard to maintain the rigorous standards required to be BAFE accredited and are always pleased to provide our clients with a quality assured service.
These external audits are designed to ensure the reliability and competence of a business commissioned to carry out various works on fire detection and alarm systems. They give clients an industry-recognised means to assess our capabilities and offer peace of mind that AFM installations are completed to the highest standards.
We are still the only BAFE accredited company on the island and I can confirm that Paul and the team are now working to achieve the final certificate in Design next year.”
