Interest in the acoustics seminar hosted by AFM led to a change of venue to accommodate delegates.
With 87 in attendance the seminar gave Guernsey building contractors and other construction professionals an overview of the requirements of regulations in respect of sound insulation in new dwellings. Industry experts from Southampton Solent University were flown in to speak at the event which was held at St Pierre Park hotel on 1st December.
“After intensive market research, we clearly identified the local requirement for a professional sound and air testing service. Over the previous 12 months we have invested in bespoke training and the latest testing equipment and we are confident in our approach to deliver a professional and cost-effective service across the Channel Islands. We had an exceptional turnout at our sponsored seminar which further emphasised the need for this new technical service” said Darren Etasse, project director who opened the seminar.
Mark Edgar, managing director added “We have been overwhelmed by the response from the industry to the latest in our series of seminars held by our technical services division. We hope that delegates will have gained a valuable insight into what is required of them and how they can adhere to Part E of the Guernsey standard”.
