Commercial Director spends a day in the cells

Ben Le Huray our Commercial Director accepted his "back to the shop floor" challenge which entailed spending the day with Adam Tippet from our Electrical team here in Guernsey.

Ben's first task was to rewire a light fitting in the custody cell in the local Police Station, which he found interesting as he has very little electrical experience and this enabled him to build on his knowledge and understanding of the type of tasks our engineers complete out in the field.

They then went on to Guernsey Post to fit new double sockets to walls for their interactive TV displays and also conducted a fault-finding of their distribution boards and mains switches in the plant rooms using the latest thermal imaging technology.

Our engineers are at the coalface of our business, engaging with our clients every single day.  Getting hands-on with the tools of the trade and learning about how technology is broadening our service capability was the highlight of the day for Ben.

The worst bit was spending time in a confined cell ....... something he hopes he never has to do again!
