As part of their ongoing support for Charity of the Year partnership, AFM Guernsey have assisted the Guernsey Blind Association with the rebranding and renaming of their headquarters to the “Vision Support Centre”.
Martyn Pipet, Operations Manager said, “AFM are keen to support their chosen Charity of the Year not only in a financial sense by fundraising activities but also to help raise awareness of their work in the community. On this occasion we were able to utilize the capabilities of our supply chain and coordinate the installation of new signage. Working in collaboration with Smiths Signs, the building now has clear branding and signage including some reflective signs which are visible in the dark.”
President of the Guernsey Blind Association, Chantelle Clarke said, “The new signage at the Vision Support Centre is a big step forward to showing people exactly where we are, without the need to go up and down the road several times looking for clues to finding the correct building! We have already noticed people in cars slowing down and admiring the signage, it is so clear and easily visible from both directions on the road with the additional clear sign off the main road directing people to the building. The reflective boards make a big difference for a person with a visual impairment. We cannot thank AFM enough for their very generous support for the funding, and Smith Signs for the installation of the signage, we certainly feel we are now on the map and it has given the Centre the facelift it desperately needed. Thank you all once again!”
“Smith Signs has a long established working relationship with AFM, and were delighted to assist them with this project for their chosen charity. We are very happy that the Vision Centre is now clearly signposted which will help service users locate the Centre.” Catherine Blondin of Smith Signs
